Govardhan

In Govardhan there are not as many hotels available as there are in Vrindavan. Instead there are dharmasalas and simple guest houses, where you can stay at low cost. At our own temple, Sri Sri Giridhari Gaudiya Matha, there is a guest house that has 64 rooms that can be rented throughout the year but not during the Kartika festival. The rates are:

1 room, 2 beds, Air cooler, hot water  - Rs. 350 + Rs. 50 for extra person
1 room, 2 beds, AC - Rs. 800 + Rs. 100 for extra person
1 room, 3 beds, AC Rs. 1000 + Rs 100 for extra person
1 Hall, 6 mattresses, Air cooler – Rs. 700
1 Hall, 15 mattresses, Air cooler – Rs. 1200
Basement: 1 room, mattresses, common bath room, non AC, no aircooler – Rs. 200 + Rs. 50 for extra person

(the last two are located behind Sri Keshavji Gaudiya Math) Their rates vary from Rs. 400 - Rs. 800 per night for rooms with or without AC. There are about 20 hotels advertised online, with a daily rate of Rs. 2000 - Rs. 3500. These hotels are not near the Math and are often over-priced.
